The CEB Reading Corner is our mini mobile library full of diverse reading material for children!

Aspiring to create a reflective and inclusive space for all children, the CEB Reading Corner aims to inspire and celebrate diversity within children’s literature.

Whilst reading is supposed to be an engaging and enjoyable experience for young children, the lack of diverse literature available within libraries, schools and bookstores suggests there is lack of inclusion in mainstream spaces for children from different cultures, backgrounds and experiences.

We have put together a selection of inspiring, diverse literature from a range of authors in the UK and abroad. When you book the CEB Reading Corner, we will bring these books to you and set them up for children and parents to discover together. We’ll also have a selection of activities and worksheets for children, and members of our team will be on hand to answer any questions.

By creating a safe space for children to read, engage and relate to the range of experiences the books cover, our Reading Corner hopes to increase the number of children and parents engaging with diverse reading materials, helping them to feel empowered and valued as a member of their community.

Our Reading Corner can be booked alongside a read and seek, where Casey Elisha will attend and read one of her books while children seek out prizes!
